D.J. Mike-P (Mike Papadopoulos) – Official Biography

D.J. Mike-P (Mike Papadopoulos) discovered his passion for music at the age of five, captivated by the sounds from an old vinyl record player with amplifier tubes.

His first vinyl collection featured popular Greek songs from the 1960s, laying the foundation for a lifelong journey in music.

Following 1974, he acquired his first hi-fi turntable and broadened his musical tastes with 33 rpm records from legendary rock bands such as Deep Purple, Rainbow, and Pink Floyd.

His dedication to music deepened through formal studies in piano, drums, and music technology.

At just sixteen, Mike-P formed his first music group, performing live at numerous venues. He later joined the band "Fantis Bastouni kai oi Assoi" as a keyboardist, further honing his skills on stage.

In 1980, Mike-P launched one of the first private radio stations in Athens, "A-20." Through A-20, Athenian audiences were introduced to emerging international bands of the era, including groop "Asia" and more...

After 2000 he owns one of the firsts internet radio, the "XXL-RADIO".

His collaborations with many influential DJs, such as Greece’s renowned vinyl collector Gregory Vaios, helped shape the Athens radio scene during that period. He continued to contribute to numerous radio stations across the city and surrounding areas.

Mike-P began DJing professionally in music clubs in 1989. A true connoisseur of all musical genres, he proudly rejects any form of "musical racism," seamlessly blending styles according to each venue’s atmosphere. His extensive and diverse music library enables him to create unique sets, always with the mission of getting everyone onto the dance floor.

Since 2010, D.J. Mike-P has been at the forefront of the disco revival movement in Greece, reintroducing the vibrant sounds of classic disco to clubs and parties, and breathing new life into dance culture.

Today, D.J. Mike-P remains a vital figure in Greece’s music scene, performing at clubs and major events while collaborating with an elite team of DJs. As one of the country's most respected music producers, he has crafted numerous original tracks and remixes, continuing to influence and inspire audiences with his passion and creativity.
